is an alcoholic mixed drink, which is made with 4 white spirits along with lime juice, triple sec and a splash of cola. Which gives the amber colour to the drink the same as iced tea.

History of Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail:

Robert Rosebud Butt claims that he invented the Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail as an entry in a contest to create a new mixed drink with the triple sec in 1972, While he was bartending at Oak Beach Inn on Long Island, New York. 

How to Make Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail:

Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail is a mixed drink which is made mix equal part of vodka, white rum, gin and tequila followed with lime juice, Triple sec and a splash of cola.

Ingredients for Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail:

  • Vodka - 1 part or 2 cl (20 ml)
  • W.Rum - 1 part or 2 cl (20 ml)
  • Gin - 1 part or 2 cl (20 ml)
  • Tequila - 1 part or 2 cl (20 ml)
  • Lime juice - 1 part or 2 cl (20 ml)
  • Triple Sec - 1/2 oz (15 ml)
  • Cola just a splash.

Method: Built-up or stirred.

Built-up is a simple method of making a cocktail, It as simple as serving a glass of water with ice. Simply take a glass, add 4 to 5 cubes of ice, pour 2 oz of vodka and top it up with orange juice and add garnish, straw & a stirrer, Your Cocktail Screwdriver is ready to serve.
